Glitter this Christmas: Mrs V’s five top sparkly style items
December 6, 2016 | By: High50

Sparkly ClothesAs always Mrs V aims to inspire you with key pieces that may just unlock a blockage in your virtual style space or your actual wardrobe. Your fashion nirvana should be available at any time, and it shouldn’t be financially prohibitive, like ever. What I’m saying is that making a crinoline clad entrance is not the only way to get noticed. The other end of that spectrum is just as effective. This week I’d like us all to embrace sparkly style items. They are legal tender in all situations.

  1. H&M Glittery Leggings and  Jumper by Carine Roitfeld for Uniqlo £14.99

These sloppy glittery trousers are a winner, Christmas morning wading through wrapping and sellotape, drinks the night before teamed with a Jeans Jacket and New Years Eve with this Carine Roitfeld flippy jumper or her cache-coeur long-sleeved blouse.  Accessorise with every single adornment that you received for Christmas swathing your wrists, neck and ears, or maybe just two areas out of those three.

  1. Zara Metallic Effect Top  £19.99

Tops, T’s, transparent or otherwise: if it’s sparkly get it on and get out there. This off the shoulder little blessing is best friends with jeans, pencil skirts and overly wide legged trousers of a silky or diaphanous nature. Choose where you want to position yourselves on the altitude level and grab a canapé.

  1. Urban Outfitters Sparkle and Fade Lurex Slip Dress £38.00

There are masses of these little Slip Dresses. Nod to a nightie and wink to a party with the use of pink Lurex. Buy in a large size and wear it as I have over Jeans. Zazzy it up in the evening with a wisp of a metallic or wantonly lacy T Shirt and look all waif-like because you were genius and bought it big.

      4.  Urban Outfitters Sparkle and Fade Moonshine Lurex  £36.00

Little wave to frivolity as you go into your Board Meeting or the Carol Service. Keeps you warm, keeps you on trend. Very groovy over last weeks silver pleated Bershka skirt. My pleasure!

5.  Next Black and Silver Metallic Tie Neck Dress £36.00

This dress is adorable either as a pinafore as I wear it or going solo and for my money with a very unsubtle hint of a frisky and festive black lacy bra strap notion underpinning your assets, solo will not be you. How nice is that?

The magic equation of style and a little bravery resulting in a follow spot back on you this winter. It’s not a lot to ask of you girls, a little bit of fairy dust on your clothing to take you everywhere.

This week’s mantra is:  I am, therefore I sparkle.
